Spring Is Here!!!

As spring starts to appear around us, it is hard not to catch the spring fever of every school aged kid in town. We all want to get outside and enjoy the fresh air, play outside games and generally stop being cooped up! At the Armoury, we tend to slow down for this very same reason and we completely understand because the truth of the matter is, we just want to be outside too! So enjoy your spring and summer and know that we will be here in the fall and winter, when we can’t be outside for everything. Be sure to check in every now and then, because while we do slow down, we still have a lot of things planned. Be on the look out for news about our Spring Tea, April 16th…The Lifestyles Fair (brought to you by the Warren County Health Department and YMCA), May 7th…Fight Night, May 21st…Mother to Mother Garage Sale, June 24th-25th….and don’t for get you can always find the YMCA’s Tuesday Night basketball league and the Wednesday Lunchtime Ladies Bible Study at the Armoury. We look forward to serving you in the future!

Description: Come out and enjoy an evening of fun and adventure! All teams will start at the Armoury at 5 p.m. and then head out on the town to complete their list! Dinner will be served at 7 p.m. Teams of 4 are welcome, $40 per team. Top 3 teams will receive prizes! Call 734-8991 to sign up or ask questions.

What an amazing day September 3rd was!!! Manual Scott sure knows how to speak to kids. We are so thankful to be have been a part of such a terrific day and we would like to thank all of our volunteers and everyone who worked so hard at putting the event together.

Dynamic Difference Dinner

WOW!!! That’s about all we can say! Our 1st Annual Dynamic Difference Dinner, with celebrity waiters Sam Brooks, Mauri Ditzler, Jackie Flater and Susan Twomey raised over $4,000 this past Monday night! A very special congratulations to Mauri Ditzler who won our coveted Celebrity Waiter Award! The competition was VERY close though, so all of our Celebrity Waiters should be proud. And we certainly can not forget our Celebrity Host, Bill Piper, he certainly was a highlight for everyone! This event was tremendous because of our “Celebrities”. What a great way to kick off our 2nd year of Operation Backpack. Thank you to everyone who attended and donated and especially to our very special Celebrity Waiters and Host!!!

What’s Been Going on at the Armoury

Wow! We are all so excited to have the new website up and running! There is just so much going on right now, I don’t even know where to start! The Armoury has been buzzing with busyness all summer long….

The Park District’s summer Park Program has used the Armoury as one of their sites for the summer so we have all enjoyed listening to the kids play every day in the gym. Come to think of it, next week is the last week for Park Program, it sure is going to be quiet around here!!!

The Warren County YMCA is using our gym for their Tuesday Night leagues, so if you are downtown some Tuesday and feel like watching some basketball, stop on in!!

Our last concert brought in The Wrecking and Esterlyn again and as usual boy, did they DELIVER!!! What a great group of guys, we really appreciate them coming in and giving us such a great show…if you haven’t seen them yet, make sure to keep your ears open for the next time they come because they really are a couple of good bands that you don’t want to miss!!
